David Naughton is in the first commercial, here. In the second, he is in it along with Jimmy Walker who was starring in the tv program "Good Times", and Fred Flintstone. The last commercial here is for Sugar-free Dr. Pepper and featured Sandahl Bergman..
I do not drink any soda, never have and never will, but loved these lively, catchy-tuned commercials that are now around 35 years old. --LKR

I remember the Dr. Pepper commercial!!! I grew up on Fairmount and the commercial took place behind and on the grounds of the Fairmount ave. school. (right across the street from my house) and I remember watching all the actors and Jimmy Walker hanging out there and we got to watch the filming of the commercial. Plus they stayed in trailors for the shooting. It was such a big deal at the time!!
Was working at Swanson's Hardware while this was filmed out front.
I think I actually have this guys signature someplace...
Cool find Leza!! JJ Jimmy Walker!!!
About 6 years ago they filmed parts of this major motion picture at my parents home in Chatham..The name of the film was called "Imaginary heroes" Starring Sigourney Weaver and Jeff Daniels. It was really cool to witness a filming of a major motion film in your own home..
Cool, Nancy, David and Bonnie!!! Can anyone tell if the first one shown here also have a scene in it by Luciano's on the corner of Main and Passaic? I always thought some of the twirling dancing was filmed there. Kinda hard to tell in this 'cuz it's so old! Definitely in the 2nd one @ the end which is looking east on Main toward the library and then of course in front of Luciano's where someone's holding a bunch of pizza boxes. Love hearing the memories!!! :-)
Bill, that's sooooo cool!!! Yea, most of us have likely seen cameras rolling while out in NYC, but when it's literally in your own back yard or ***home***--*wow*!!! How many people can say *that*?! :-)
I have a picture of David Naughton sitting in his car while he was on a film break in Chatham filming that commercial with Fred Flintstone on the Firetruck. I'll dig it out, scan it and post it if anyone's interested. :-) I also remember watching them film "Rich and Famous" in Madison with Candace Bergen and Jacqueline Bisset in 1980. Also, when Garps mother got shot by the sniper while giving a speech on the steps of the Municipal Court building across from the train station in Madison while filming "The World According to Garp" a year later.

Kenny, I remember the snow scene at the Madison train station!! I remember the producers of the movie dangled a carrot to my family saying we could be extras in the movie, but it never happened..That actually was a good thing..Because I had a chance to roam through all the productions instead of waiting in a holding area as an extra.
