Thanks Leza. Believe me, my entire family has been praying about this train wreck in the making. We read Proverbs 28 this morning.....what a "wake up call" this should be to the leaders of our nation.
Yes, thanks, Anon, I thought that was a *super* analogy made by Paul Ryan!!! He really called it what it is and hopefully will get through to some of his peers that we the *majority* of the people they are *supposed* to be representing are not fooled by what they're trying to pull.
And thanks, Anne! I thought praying collectively would be good, too, like @ noon on Sunday, but you already are doing that now as a family, as I'm sure many others are. :-)
What a super chapter! The verses that stuck out to me the most, and especially the one you mentioned: "When a land transgresses, it has many rulers... "Evil men do not understand justice... "Whoever misleads the upright into an evil way will fall into his own pit... "Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people... "A ruler who lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor..." ~and~ "Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered."
Individuals giving to the poor and volunteers will be a thing of the past if this Trojan Horse is passed into law, and we'll *all* be suffering under it for a while. Fortunately I'll add that we will be called out of this when given the shout!
Unfortunately, I have a very bad feeling about all this. I did long before Obama was ever elected because I knew that's who He was going to allow become our President and I saw the package he was holding behind his back.
But we are living in the last days, the end times, so these things *will* be happening and even *should* be happening. He is still on the throne and allows things to happen for a reason, even if we don't like the storms that inevitably will be approaching, if not now, some time *very* soon. And dismissing those proclaiming the warnings won't hinder His will being done, thank the Lord!
People turn to God when bad things happen (remember with 9-11?), but forget Him when things go well or their way.
Those of us who have accepted Christ as their Savior won't have to deal relatively that long with the trials that come from anything that takes place, should this Trojan Horse be passed. The world will be left behind with the confusion and chaos, not, thankfully with us here to see it, that will come later because of this.
The signs of prophecy are, yes, to encourage us to hold on because our Bridegroom comes, not to get all caught up in the signs and wonders themselves. All things point to Him and for Him.
I am just sooooo thankful to *be* His *and* to have Him as my personal Lord and Savior!
I'm a Christian mother of three who enjoys art, animals, raising butterflies, books, baking/cooking, gardening, hiking, insects, music, nature, pets, photography, science, the shore..., and writing.

A trojan horse--that it is!

VS 16 is so appropriate...."A ruler who lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor..."
Will continue to pray.
Love you sis!
