Oh my gosh! When I just looked at this, the little baby on the right kept putting it's wing around it's sibling! This is so adorable!
One parent came back and was feeding them something--looked like fish. Then the other parent joined them and started eating something else already in the nest. Leftovers!! :)
I'm going to be keeping this up and checking it time to time while I'm working. This is so fascinating!!
I don't see anything, but it's night time, so I'll check tomorrow!

Patti, thanks so much for recording your observations!!! I'm hoping others will, too! My sister who sent me this link watched as the mom brought a bird to the dinner table, She plucked the feathers and fed the babies before bedtime so their tummies were full. :-)
Awe, both parents are fluffing up the nest, this morning! I did not watch this over the weekend and couldn't wait to see them, again!!
Now, one parent is feeding the babies what looks like snake, while the other parent is eating leftovers behind the babies. :)
Okay, okay, now the other parent is feeding both of the babies leftovers, and the other parent is digging in, too! :)
...Still watching...! :) Is it me, or do they look bigger...
I get so nervous when they get too close to the edge of the nest 'specially when it's behind the trunk of the tree and I can't supervise them. They're doing it now, too, but I think it's the mom that's with them. Yesterday, they were all alone and really close to the edge as far as I could tell and I wanted to climb through the 'puter and then the cam and check on them!
Oh my have they grown! I haven't checked in a week!
"Rock-a-bye babies, on a tree top, when the wind blows, your cradle will rock...!" It must be a very windy day in NJ! The cam is blowing, and you can see the "V" limbs of the tree where the nest is secured!
Okay, so now they're sawing logs! So are they dizzy from all that rocking you described, Anon, or are they genuinely sleepy? Oh, it's getting to be night time, so they must be sleepy!
They've gotten so big! It's been so fun to watch them grow! Thanks for posting this, Leza! :)
It's been a while since I commented. This morning, the babies are playing with nesting material. I wonder if they know someday that they will be taking to the air like their parents!

Oh, they are eating, again! The other day when I looked at this, I could only see one sibling and wondered if the other had flown off. It's good to see them both, this morning!

Ok, I checked and these are both little girls. GR is the older one, 77 days old, and GL is 76 days old. GR looked like she was going to fly right out of the nest! She is flapping up a storm and looks like she is disturbing her sibling!!

Well, today, one has been going out on a limb. So she must be getting really antsy to fly and leave the nest!! :)
It looks really windy there in NJ! One baby is up on a limb, and the other is standing right below it on the nest. This could be the day one flies away!! :)
Oh my gosh! Both babies are out on limbs, and one is up farther in one that it must have flown over to!! The camera is zoomed out for a wider view, too! At first It thought I was looking at a different site, but it's the same!! I bet one flies away, today! The wind may encourage it!
They're both back safely in the nest!! :)

This is so awesome. They will fledge, soon! They look more comfortable with the idea of flying as they first hopped, then started flying higher onto limbs and branches.
Mom was with the girls, yesterday, for about an hour, dining with her darling daughters. So sweet. (:
Phew, they're both still there! I thought I had missed one fly away! But they come back to the nest once they leave, don't they? For a while anyway?
Oh, my! Did one fly away? I only see one on that large limb to the right... . I tuned in early because yesterday they seemed closer to leaving the nest, and not just out into the branches... .
One did!!! Pretty sure it was the oldest one!
The lone eaglet who had been hanging out on that one limb just returned to the nest. Don't know where here sister is or if she'll be returning to the nest, tonight.
They're gone! They're gone! They both are gone! I wonder where they are, if they're ok, and what they are doing. Anybody know?
Doris and Anon, this is what I found when I looked into this earlier this morning. One fledged on 6/20 @639am, and the other today (6/21) @525am. They may or may not return back to the nest occasionally, so I'm going to keep checking. This has been such an exciting event to follow! Thanks so much for posting this, Leza!! :)
Thank you all so much for your observation notes up here, Patti, Doris, and Anon(s)! They really added to the post, making the live cam come to life, documenting interesting info on these beautiful birds! I will leave this up so we all can compare this year to *next* year!
And yes, what Patti said is correct: Sometimes the eaglets will return to the nest briefly to sleep or to feed, so the cam may still be capturing glimpses of the girls! :-)
I'll keep an eye out for them! :) About an hour ago, one of the parents were there at the nest with food. I did not see if either of the girls came back for dinner. Maybe the nest was used as a kitchen for delivered meals!
I just saw some big bird fly from the top middle to the bottom middle under the nest!! I'm pretty sure it was one of the girls!! It did not have a white head like an adult. :)

I'm following both this and the one in IA, and have them up on tabs so I can watch *both* little families. Both are up on my blog. I *love* how people are recording what they see--fun to look back on, and also to see what you've missed! :-)
The IA one has highlights so you can watch when the 3rd egg was laid, pics of the eaglette hatching, etc. We recently had snow. Green Bay had 9+ inches--in ***April***!!! Global warming, you know! ;-)

A bright and sunny day in NJ, today! One eaglette is resting while the other is quite active, walking all over the nest and around Mom! :-) Both of these eaglettes have pinfeathers. I think I started seeing it on them earlier than the Decorah,IA eaglettes.

The parents have been feeding the babies, and it is getting dark almost too dark to see them now. This is interesting reading from last years babies with the same parents too.
This two are not quite as mature as the three little eaglettes in Decorah, IA, but they sure are cute!!! :-)
My, what big talons you have! The better to hunt you down with, hahahaha. They both are sleeping, but the one to the right side was exercising his foot!

These two are eagerly looking over the edge, too! The Decorah eaglettes I think are a little older that these two, and they are still in their nest. :-)
One baby left the nest and is on the thick branch to the right, right above the nest. I'm not sure if the other is on the edge of the nest to the left or if it's lower on another of the three thick branches that cradle the nest.
The Decorah eagles have also left their nest, but you can only see tow out of three of them. They have had two strong t-storms with hevy rain, and another severe storm is forcasted for today, as well.
He's back in the nest, again! :-)
