Look at this little darling! Poor little girl was seen in the middle of the road, late one night, and then cowering in a damp ditch the next. I'm happy to say I've learned this three week old little sweetheart now is in good hands (literally!), and getting the proper nutrition, shelter, and love any coon would crave! --LKR

Sooo cute!
They are! This little girl went to a lady in Seymour, WI, who has a license to rehab them. I was told that she took in 5 more coons the same day this one was brought in!
They're cute when they are little, but as they get older, they get bolder and can get mean and aggressive.
White Pine shut it's doors--who took her?
Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. If you call the DNR, they will give you names of people. My neighbor said she called one person on the list, and they in turn gave her this lady who is more local. Beaver Creek may also have her name on file.
I hate to see animals suffer; it's nice to know someone took care of this little thing. Hopefully she grows up to be a really friendly raccoon!
I'm glad someone is taking care of her! I hate it when animals suffer.
Hey, Beth! :-) Yes, I'm glad, too, that someone licensed was able to take her in. If I hadn't moved to the midwest, I would have gotten a wildlife license and been able to take care of creatures like this. Who know, had we not moved from IL, I might have gotten involved with Willowbrook Wildlife and at the very least helped rehab baby birds like we did in NJ.
When I met this little coon, she was so content and my neighbor said she was also very sweet. My neighbor also told me that the lady who took this little one in was thrilled because most of the others she had were aggressive, so she was a very welcomed addition! :-)
