Here We Go Again...

What started out as rain turned into heavy, wet snow by noon.Reports of cars in ditches were abundant, as were of branches snapping under the burdening pressure of a winter come too soon.By 6:30, plows rumbled through our country subdivision, ridding our road of a slushy mess. What will tomorrow bring? --LKR

Do you have snow on the ground ? All we got was rain . it is surprising what 60 miles can do with waether changes .

Oh! Didn't see everyone else's comments!

Yup, we go a lot of heavy wet snow, yesterday, just like we would in November, up here. The respiratory conference was all day, Friday, and the last speaker, a doctor from the Madison area, saw a couple of accidents and a lot of cars in ditches on his way up to Eau Claire. Several of the attendees left early, those that had a ways to drive back home.

Hubby was driving the kids up for a work weekend up north with the youth group. and their party had to stop for the night in Chatek because of white out conditions. Strange like you said, Pat, 'cuz where they were going, they only had rain, an that's *north* of here!!!

I wiped off about 1 1/2" of snow off of the windshield 4 hours after it started to snow, and it continued snowing even well after dinner when it was dark out.

Hannah and I saw several tree limbs down, one of which was rather large and was pretty much blocking the bridge overpass on our way home. That's the second picture you see on this post. *Some* people were driving around it.

We eventually did, too, and I asked one of the men from the town in the truck you see here if they were going to push it out of the way to clear the road for traffic. He said that they were waiting for someone to come by with a saw so they could cut it up and remove it.

We *still* have snow on the ground, today! Yes, Dawn, and we both live in different places that get a lot of white stuff all winter long, don't we?! Sandy, I guess you all in NJ have had a lot of snow that's been lingering rather than melting quickly--the weather patterns have changed there since we were children, huh?

OMG! Was anyone hurt when this fell?

Hi, Carol! I don't think anyone was hurt, thank the Lord! It's not a super busy road, but is only one of three ways to get where we were going.

My youngest daughter and I had passed over this bridge about an hour before, and this was not there at the time. I kept waiting for the plow to move it over to the side of the road..., but they were waiting to get a chain saw to cut it up out of the road!
